Believe it or not, this is not a hat on my head! What this actually is, is a nifty style of headwear that’s a hat attached to a headband. Noelle graciously lent it to me to style and boy did I have fun!
I wore this outfit during my purple hair days in the winter but I’d like to think it can transcend seasons. That’s what’s so good about vintage.. among a million other things.
I’ve worn this dress before in an outfit that was also a nod to the past so I guess it’s just getting typecasted. And if you’re confused about my dress looking like a top and skirt, well, it’s just another illusion in my outfit.
To style it this time around I added a shrunken navy colored cardigan and the cutest feminine spectator shoes. To me, it feels like a way to wear vintage everyday without being over the top or in your face. In fact, if I removed this hat, you probably would mistake this outfit for something modern! (None of it’s actually vintage, so there’s another fun fact about this look.)

I’m so glad I got to take this headband/hat for a whirl. My head is actually too small to fit traditional hats so this technology is kind of blowing my mind. Just in case any of you have a hard to fit noggin, definitely try to track something like this down!
Thanks, Noelle, for sending this beauty along and challenging me to add a little bit of glamour to my everyday outfits. :)
Oooh pretty! I love this outfit, and that hat/headband is really a perfect touch! I might have to request it next!
