Lime Green Skirt and Hot Pink Top | Hannah x Emily

Outfit: hot pink top, lime green midi skirt, vintage black purse, statement necklace, black flatsHey, friends! Hannah from The Outfit Repeater here today to do what I do best – repeat outfits!

Just a couple months ago I published my first outfit on here wearing a lime green skirt from Emily. Now I’m back with another way I styled it all those times ago.

Outfit: hot pink top, lime green midi skirt, vintage black purse, statement necklaceI was actually really unsure if I liked this look which is why it’s taken me so long to post.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the way the hot pink knit top looks with the lime green midi skirt, I just wasn’t sure how me it was. And that was even after I added this blinged out statement necklace!

Outfit: hot pink top, lime green midi skirt, statement necklace,I guess my qualm with the look was that I like to try to add some vintage element my looks. And when I say ‘vintage’ element, I mostly just mean something from the 1980s.

Adding this black purse was the addition that I needed. It’s not quite ’80s considering when I thrifted it a few months ago I found a McDonalds receipt in it from 1997. (And maybe some really expired McDonalds coupons!) But it was close enough for me and added just the right old element I had been looking for.

But now the outfit is posted for the world to see and there’s no taking it back. You win some, you lose some, right?

Even if I don’t like an outfit, at least I can improve upon it the next time I wear it or take inspiration from it for another outfit I will love even more. I’m totally looking forward to wearing this lime & hot pink color combination in the future Maybe this outfit gave you some ideas too?

  1. You should go for it! It’s colorful and comfy to boot. (Emily made it and added an elastic waistband. I love me an elastic waistband!)

  2. See, I think that sweater and the color of the skirt really make it look more vintage/80’s than if it were to be a different shirt, BUT… it doesn’t quite look like you, so I know what you mean! I like the outfit anyway, though. And I love that skirt. It’s so colorful! I might have to eventually give it a go after I’m done with a few other things!
